Section 1

Basic things

1Cost of Solar Panel Installation with a PPA
The cost of installing solar panels under a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) presents a different financial structure and considerations compared to directly purchasing the system.
2What is a Solar PPA?
Under a PPA, a company installs and maintains the solar system on your property (whether residential or commercial). You, as the customer, do not pay for the initial installation. Instead, you pay monthly for the solar energy the system generates, at a rate per kilowatt-hour (kWh).
3Initial Cost: Usually Zero
Installation: The PPA company covers the installation costs, including panels, inverters, and other equipment. The company typically also takes care of system maintenance and repairs during the contract period.
4Advantages of a Solar PPA
Low or no initial cost: Facilitates access to solar energy without a large upfront investment. Maintenance included: Saves worries and additional costs for maintenance and repairs. Long-term savings: Can generate significant savings compared to conventional electricity during the contract term.
5Monthly Costs
Customers often experience savings in their total energy costs compared to using the electrical grid exclusively.

Guaranties and others

1What guarantees do solar panels and installation have?
Solar panels usually have warranties of 25 years or more, and the installation may have a warranty of several years.
2Can I sell the surplus energy that my solar panels generate?
In some places, it is possible to sell the surplus energy that your solar panels generate to the electrical grid, which can generate additional income.
3What happens if I move house?
Solar panels can increase the value of your property if you decide to sell it. In some cases, it is possible to transfer the installation contract to the new owner.

Questions and Performance

1What happens if there are cloudy days?
Solar panels continue to generate electricity on cloudy days, although in smaller quantities than on sunny days.
2How can I know if my solar panels are working properly?
There are different ways to monitor the performance of your solar panels, such as through mobile applications or online platforms that show you the energy production in real time.
3What happens if I move house?
Solar panels can increase the value of your property if you decide to sell it. In some cases, it is possible to transfer the installation contract to the new owner.
